Now is Good

If I'm off work Monday day, I often go to the cinema as its 2-4-1. This month me and a friend decided to see Now is Good, and Wow! This film had me crying, laughing and crying again, I cannot recommend this film more, its definitely my film of the year so far. I don't want to say any spoilers but if you know what this films about you know its quite a downbeat subject matter, but they deal with it in such a positive manner you won't be crying your eyes out really until the enviable and the end of the film.  It also doesn't hurt that Jeremy Irvine is  possible one of the most beautiful guys ever, warning girls, you will fall in love with him!

Has anyone else seen Now is Good yet and did you love it as much as me? What other films are you about seeing this year, I can't wait to see the Perks of being a Wallflower, if its anywhere near as good as the book it will be spectacular!

Blueberry and White Chocolate Muffins

The other weekend we had heaps of blueberrys left so I decided to make some muffins. We didn't have the correct amount of ingredients for what the recipe asked for and they turned out better than ever! So I thought I'd share my new improved recipe, these muffins where definitely worth every single calorie!

Ingredients (For 8)

150g Self Raising flour
1/2 table spoon of salt
50g of sugar
1 table spoon of baking powder
1 egg
2 table spoons of butter
140ml milk
2 hand full of blueberrys
12 chunks of white chocolate

Method

1/Wash and drain the blueberrys and on a clean surface roll them in some self raising flour, leave them now till you need them, as they dry in the flour.
2/Sift flour, salt, sugar and baking powder in to a large mixing bowl
3/In a separate bowel beat the egg, then add melted butter and milk and stir
4/Mix in the liquid ingredients with the dry, yet leave some bumps, this will give your muffins a softer texture
5/Add blueberrys and while chocolate, try to brake the chocolate down into 3 or 4 chunks to a piece and stir into the mixture
6/Spoon mixture in to muffin cases in a baking tray, fill the case with 2/3 full with mixture
7/Leave in an oven at Gas Mark 7 or at 210 degrees for around 20 minutes, they should a light golden colour when cooked
8/Remove from the baking tray after around 5 minute, place them on a cooling rack and enjoy! (They taste best fresh the oven, and will literally melt in your mouth)

Day Dreaming

I seem to have spent most of my time in the clouds to day, dreaming, its gone from dancing perfectly at Worlds to buying that Mac Lipstick/Foundation and Nars Bronzer I need to wishing I live in Laguna Beach and lastly dreaming that Cupcakes, Chocolates and Macaroons counted as one of your 5-a-day and where practically calorieless!

What have your dreams been today?

Monday

As I wasn't working till the evening I went out for lunch and a bit of shopping with Mum in Brentwood on Monday. Of course we ended up in the Slug and Lettuce, my favourite place to eat! Its a chain bar/pubs that possibly do the best food ever. I could eat basically anything of their menu, but chose the chicken, bacon and avocado salad, it did not disappoint and with all food half price on a Monday you can't go wrong!
Have any of you ever eaten at the Slug and Lettuce, if so what's your favourite dish?

Saturday Night

Dress: H&M
Belt: Primark
Shoes: New Look

If you follow me on Twitter you'll know I'm a hard working girl and hardly ever get a Saturday night off, but due to the good weather we didn't have many bookings at work meaning I could actually go out on a Saturday Night. We went to Evoke, its been open for a couple of months now but I still haven't managed to go. Its claiming to be Essex's first 'Super-Club', I had heard a lot of mixed reviews, so didn't really know what to expect. Over all I thought it was good although I do normally prefer a bit more of a laid back club/bar feel, but in my eyes if it servers Tequila Rose its going to be a good night what ever happens!
P.S. sorry for the dodgy iphone photos

September Goodies

Shoes: Miss Selfridge  Jumper: Miso at Republic

On Monday I went out on a lunch date to Nandos and a shopping trip with my best friend from school before she heads back to Canterbury for Uni. But before she left I made full use of her student discount buying a new pair of black pumps as my favourite French Connection loafers have finally given up on me and a crochet maroon jumper which looks perfect with a jeans and scarf combo.

Wedding Wishes

Dress: Jones&Jones
Shoes: New Look
Earrings: TopShop

It was my youngest dance teachers wedding on Friday, she had it in a village just outside Colchester. It was so beautiful to see her now married, as I've grown-up watching her dance and after her retirement having her teach me. I was so happy the weather was lovely, making her glow even more, she looked truly stunning and even more like a princess in real life!

I wore a dress from Jones&Jones, I've looked on their website before and seen people wear their designs and I always think they're gorgeous and when I saw this dress half price on the website I couldn't help myself! I wasn't disappointed either, it arrived two days after my order and is very high quality. The petticoat skirt sticks out just enough and it fitted me perfectly. I don't think I've ever received more complements about a dress in my life, I'd definitely buy from them again.  They only have a small range but I would recommend looking at it if you wanted a formal looking dress, especially as they have their summer sale on.

Puppy Love

Dress: H&M
Denim Jacket: TopShop

As well as being a waitress I have the best job ever, dog sitting! I always had dogs growing up but since my last one died we decided nor to get another one as I'm often away for weekends or sometimes even weeks with dancing and having a dog unforchantly wouldn't be practical. One of my neighbours is Irish so she often visits family and friends out there, and leaves her baby Jessie with me. It works out I normally get about £7 a day, that't not loads, but I'd probably do it for free anyway, its not really like work. I'd recommend suggesting this to all your doggy owner friends, as its cheaper and nicer for the dog not to be left in a kennel. And you get a new best friend for a week or so, plus some money for a new pair of shoes/ dress/ bag!

Kew

Dress: Time
Sandals: River Island
Sunglasses: TopShop

Me and a friend went to Kew Gardens yesterday, both of us had spent quite a lot of money recently and wanted to do something that wasn't to expensive. We got in two-for-one so it came to £8 each. I hadn't been to Kew since I was little, but its still as beautiful and mesmerising as ever. The majority of the day we just lounged around sunbathing, reading, gossiping and socking up the atmosphere but we did take an occasional walk into the green houses and walked among the jungle in to tropical oasis's.

Have any of you ever been to Kew before? I'd definitely recommend going if not!

Autumn Essential

Leather Jacket: H&M

Treated myself to this leather jacket while out in Chelmsford yesterday for £30, how could I say no! It will give me a good alternative to my denim jacket too, which I now will stop living in 24/7
